Over the past week we have witnessed sweeping changes to how our communities, businesses, and educational institutions operate in this time of crisis.
As a result of recent events, and out of an abundance of caution, we have transitioned our bootcamp and part-time programs from in-person to online.
This transition will bring with it challenges, surprises, and opportunities. Our current students have discovered that video lectures have improved dramatically and have been pleasantly surprised by the capabilities of online video and remote classrooms. Now that our classes are remote and our lectures recorded, students are able to:
– Watch lectures over again
– Review notes or resources
– Request a one-on-one support session
While the experience of sitting side-by-side with another student to debug a problem, embark on a project, or just to discuss the finer points of code syntax or formatting will be missed, we are still able to connect with each other in an instant at any time.
Our team is committed to making the experience for all of our students the best it can be today, and into the future. We know that it’s possible to deliver an experience equivalent to, yet distinct from one face-to-face, and we will continue to pursue that goal.
We will continue to update the BCA community of any changes or as new information becomes available.
In the meantime, stay safe, wash your hands, and keep learning!
